Howard B. Wigglebottom Books Review & Giveaway, Ends 7/10/12

I don't know if I've ever shared this, but I have a long history with books. I have always loved reading. (My maiden name was actually Read, which is pretty cool!) My first job in high school was working Saturdays at our public library. In college, I worked in the library. And when my daughters were preschoolers, I was a children's librarian. I brought home lots of books and read often with my girls.  Although they are now young adults, I still have a bookshelf full of children's books that I enjoy reading with other children in my life.

All that to say, I was excited to get a copy of Howard B. Wigglebottom Learns About Sportsmanship: Winning Isn't Everything.  I loved this book. Kids have to be taught that they can't always win and this is a fun way to open up that discussion.  I took the book to church and shared it with a group of 4- and 5-year-olds.  They laughed at the animals and kept saying, "That's not nice" about unsportsmanlike behavior. Then we talked about how sharing with friends includes being happy when they win too.

One of my readers is going to win the Howard B. Wigglebottom book of their choice. Enter on the Rafflecopter form below.

Although I was sent a free copy of this book to review, all opinions expressed are my own.
